HIGH SPECIFICATIONS, VISUAL APPEAL AND AFFORDABILITY

Customers who choose the Garden Studio from Maison d’etre Properties, invariably cite its combination of value-for-money specifications and architectural appeal as the main reason for their decision.

Designed to fit into a corner of the garden, the Garden Studio meets new build standards for insulation, wiring and double-glazing. And, inspired by North American board-and-batten dwellings, it’s a pleasure to look at as well as to use.

It has a vaulted ceiling, and comes complete with smoke detector, heater, wireless burglar alarm, wood laminate flooring, decoration and chrome finishes.

And all for the highly competitive price of £10,950 + VAT.  Foundations and electrical and telephone feed are added separately, since they vary from location to location. Depending on these costs, the total package for the standard studio (which has a floor area of approximately 13 sq. metres) usually comes in at around £14,000.

CUSTOM DESIGNS PROVE POPULAR WITH CUSTOMERS

A garden store at the side…a shower room tucked into a corner…two rooms rather than one. Every second customer now uses Maison d’etre’s design capabilities to create a Garden Studio that is distinctly their own.

The standard Studio has an internal floor area of approximately 13sq. metres and is adapted from a pentagon shape, which fits well into garden corners.

“Customers tend to request whatever shape works best in their particular garden, and they often want a little more space, or to take advantage of a certain aspect of the view,” says Managing Director, Kevin Holliday. “Whatever their requirements, we can usually meet them with a little creative thinking.”

The studio is constructed in-situ, plank by plank, so it can be built in most gardens, even if there is no direct access to the land at the back. The building has its own small deck to ease the transition to existing landscaping and its board-and-batten finish is painted to harmonise with the setting.

Costs vary for custom designs according to the size and specifications of the finished building, but the design service is free.
